A Copenhagen man once is again in trouble over some apparently ill-advised text messages.
Doran A. Johnson, 24, of 2937 Stoddard Road, was charged Friday by Watertown police with three counts of first-degree criminal contempt. He was arraigned before Watertown Town Justice David A. Renzi, sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and later released on $250 bail.
Mr. Johnson was accused of sending seven text messages to Chelsey L. Baker, Watertown, on April 18 within less than 10 minutes of an order of protection being filed in City Court. He also allegedly violated the order by sending an additional message April 19 and three more on Thursday, police said.
Mr. Johnson was convicted of second-degree criminal contempt on Feb. 14 in City Court, according to police. That case appears to have involved calls and texts to Ms. Baker.
