POTSDAM — Four Canton athletes were multi-event winners as the Golden Bears defeated Potsdam 183-115 in a Northern Athletic Conference girls track and field dual meet Friday.

Laura Pierce won the 400-meter and 3,000-meter runs for Canton (4-0). Maria Ricalton won the 800 and 1,500. Emma Collins won the 100 and 200 and Morgan Rosser claimed the triple jump and high jump.

Other Bears wins came from: Holly Williams (100H), Abby Hampson (400H), Silge Herge (Shotput), Lindsey Proulx (Discus), and Claire Olin (LJ).

The Stoners had several second place efforts including: Madi Dow (100), Kate Hildreth (400, TJ), Sarah-Marie Choong (3000M), Miranda Mangual (LJ), and Arielle Stoian (HJ).

Potsdam fell to 0-1-1.

MALONE 195, MADRID-WADDINGTON 102

Malone produced three multi-event winners to defeat the Yellow Jackets in Madrid.

Carrie Pomainville won the 800 and 1,500 for the Huskies (3-1). Rebekkah Bond claimed the 400 hurdles and 3,000 and Hannah Perry won the 200 and long jump.

Katie Marcellus led Madrid-Waddington (2-1) with wins in the shot put and discus. Taylor Lenny won the 100 meter dash for the Jackets who won the 4x100 relay with Makayla Blair. Blake Orosz, Taylor Lenny, and Angela Matthie.

Second place finishes for the Jackets were: Cassidy Scott (800, 1500) and Lenny (LJ).

NORWOOD-NORFOLK 189 1/2, OFA 128 1/2

Kaycie Saucier won the 800, 1,500 and 3,000 to send Norwood-Norfolk (2-1) past the Blue Devils in Ogdensburg.

Alexis Sweet won the long jump and triple jump and Arianna Colbert won the shot put and discus for the Flyers. Maddie Stevenson won the 100 hurdles and high jump. Leah Livernois won the 100 meters dash.

Nicole Duprey led OFA (0-1-1) with wins in the 200 and high jump.

GOUVERNEUR 164, MASSENA 147

Gabby Dunkleburg won the 800 and 3,000 to send the Wildcats (2-1) past Massena in Gouverneur.

Jacalyn Lamica led the Red Raiders (1-2) with wins in the 100 hurdles, 200 and long jump. Sydney Lewis won the 100 and 400 for Massena.

Other Raider top performances came from: Rachel Mott first in the 1500 and Waheson Lazore first in tghe High Jump. Second place efforts came from: Katelyn Burnham (100H), Alison Dix (100, TJ), Natalie LePage (400H), Mott (800), Lewis (200), Annika Sandvoss (3000), and Amber Cunningham (Discus, Shotput).

TUPPER LAKE 117, SALMON RIVER 69

The Lumberjacks had four two-event winners in a victory over Salmon River (0-3) in Tupper Lake.

Madi Fortier won the 100 and 200 for Tupper Lake (1-2). Hannah Klossner finished first in the 800 and high jump. Samantha Ormsby claimed the long jump and triple jump and Katie Zurek won the shot put and discus.

BOYS TRACK AND FIELD

GOUVERNEUR 153, MASSENA 87

Anthony Way and Luke Dunkelberg each won two events to lead the Wildcats (3-0) past Massena in Gouverneur.

Way won the 110 and 400 hurdles and Dunkelberg finished first in the 800 and 1,600.

Andrew Brush won the 100 and long jump for Massena (2-1) and Kyle Nicholson won the 200 and 400.

Second place efforts were given by: Cody Hooper (Shotput), Nicholson (TJ), and Matei Kremar (100).

POTSDAM 102, CANTON 81

Peter Clark won the 110 and 400 hurdles as well as the triple jump to lead the Sandstoners (1-1) past Canton in Potsdam.

O’den Robertson won the 100, 200 and shot put for Potsdam. Other wins came from:Ethan Vinson (800, 1600), Sam Lee (400),

Evan LaPoint led Canton (1-3) with wins in the discus and high jump. Reed McLaughlin won the Long.

MALONE 167, MADRID-WADDINGTON 67

Aaron Sharlow, Harvey Smith and Conor Gordon each won two events to lead the Huskies past the Yellow Jackets (1-2) in Madrid.

Sharlow won the long jump and triple jump for Malone (4-0). Harvey Smith won the 100 and 400 and Conor Gordon won the 1,600 and 3,200.

Randy Ball produced a win for M-W in the 200 dash and took second in the 100 dash and third in the triple jump. Ian Hawkins placed first in the Discus and took second in the shot put. Austin Scott placed second in the 400 and third in the 800 while Nick Zeledon placed second in the 110 hurdles and fourth in the 400 hurdles. Richard Wright (HJ) and Connor Maskell (LJ), rounded out the Jackets top performers.

OFA 125, NORWOOD-NORFOLK 116

Alex Wood won the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 to lead the Blue Devils (2-0) past Norwood-Norfolk in Ogdensburg.

Taylor Bouchard claimed the long and triple jumps and Donovan Smith won the 200 and 400 for OFA.

Connor Levison won the 110 and 400 hurdles for the Flyers (1-2). Preston Mason won the discus and Aaron Chandler took first in the shotput.

SALMON RIVER 105, TUPPER LAKE 63

Jayson Cook won three events to help Salmon River (1-2) defeat the Lumberjacks in Tupper Lake.

Cook claimed the 1,600, 800 and 3,200 runs for Salmon River. Cody LaPierre won the 100 and 200 to lead Tupper Lake (0-3).
