Madrid-Waddington earned a sweep over Parishville-Hopkinton in NAC North-East Division Baseball-Softball action while Lisbon and Harrisville split in NAC West action.
Lisbon Softball 15, Harrisville 0: Alyshia Murray spun a three hit, five inning shutout for Lisbon (3-1). Murray struck out five and walked two and lined a double to aid her own cause. Emily Dishaw provided a double and a single while Gabby Walker ripped two singles.
Malorie Baker smacked a triple and Ema Harper and Meg MacIntosh each singled for Harrisville (1-3).
Edwards-Knox Softball 9, Clifton-Fine 8: Heather Finnerty stroked a triple and Sam Ellison and Shay Taylor each smacked a double leading the Cougars. Molly Burgher added a single and Makayla Bacon picked up the win in relief of Harleigh LaBarge.
Ali Hitchman supplied a double and a single for C-F and Brittany Rust stroked two singles.
M-W Softball 14, P-H 8: M-W took control with five runs in the first inning then broke the game open with a seven-run surge in their final at-bat.
Desiree Pryce (4K, 7BB, 10H) went the distance for the win while Nicole White (5K, 10H) took the loss.
Mariah Patnode led the M-W offense going 4-5 with two doubles and four runs scored. Cryderman was 2-4 with a triple while Pryce aided her cause with a single and three runs.
Marissa Paradis (triple) and Kodi Perkins (2 runs scored) had two hits apiece as the Lady Panthers suffered their first loss of the season.
M-W Baseball 14, P-H 0: Zach Brock had 10 strikeouts and walked none in a complete-game two-hitter. Michael Thew doubled, tripled and score a run in the winning effort. Brock (3RBI, 1 run scored) and Alex Baxter (2 runs scored) poled two hits apiece while Dan Cassada singled and scored a pair or runs.
Tanner Wilson and Joey Curtis has the two hits for P-H (0-2).
Harrisville 6, Lisbon 3: Justin Hartle (12 Ks 1 walk) pitched the win and smacked a pair of homeruns, drilled a single and drove in three RBIs. Jared Dreythaler finished 3-4 with a double and two RBIs lifting the Pirates.
David Turri struck out three and walked two in six innings for Lisbon.
Nick Weir, Joey Butts, Tim Fowler, Nate Weaver and Josh Bearce each singled for the winners.
James Darcy supplied a double and a single for Lisbon while Adam Kelley tripled and Tristan Vine and Eric Richards each doubled. Don Duprey added two singles while Alex Arduine and Turri each singled.
E-K 7, C-F 4: Nick Davison fanned 10 batters and allowed one hit in six innings of work and stroked two doubles leading the Cougars. Kaden Dandrow stroked two doubles while Tyler Sharpstene ripped two singles. Tristen White, Chris Davison, Terry Hall and Randall all singled. Hayes and Rust each singled for Clifton-Fine.
Gouverneur 4, Massena 1: Winning pitcher Mackenzie Rowe (9 strikeouts) and losing pitcher Kaylynn Conto (4 Ks, 3 walks) spun five hitters as the Wildcats scored three runs in the sixth inning keyed by three Massena errors.
Rowe supplied a 2-3 effort and scored twice for Gouverneur. Kourtnee Bishop, Danielle Bullock, and Jordan Lay each singled.
Massena scored in the seventh inning. Mackanzie Young supplied a double and a single for the Raiders.
Potsdam 6-3, Salmon River 5-13: Jordan Emerson (3Ks, 4 Walks, 3 Hits) earned the victory in the first game for Potsdam which overcame a 5-0 deficit. Kelsey Green sparked the Potsdam offense with two hits, including a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the second. Sierre White doubled and scored a run for Salmon River.
In the nightcap, Becca Leroux Becca Leroux (4K, 4BB, 3H) went the distance for the Lady Shamrocks. Sierra White doubled scored three times to lead the Salmon River (1-2) offense. For Potsdam (1-2), Ashley Webster and Green both singled and scored a run.
N-N 8, B-M 6: Mickey Fregoe led the winners with a single and double and Kristin Barkley doubled and drove in two runs. Rachel Tower led the Panthers (2-2) going 3-for-3 with an RBI while Emily OConnor ripped a bases-loaded double in the fourth inning.
Potsdam 10-6, Salmon River 0-0: Will Coleman spun a seven inning, 15 strikeout two hit shutout in 10-0 win in game one and Connor Prosper tossed a five inning, three strikeout, no hitter in a 6-0 victory in game two. Coleman walked one and tripled and singled in his own effort. Ben Miller (two singles, three runs scored, two RBI), Shawn Clark (three singles, three RBI), Brandon Noble (single, double) and Andrew Ace (two singles, two RBI) also produced for the Stoners.
Devin LaPaige and Antwan Domino each singled for Salmon River.
In game two, Clark belted two homeruns and drove in two runs and scored twice. Miller (single, RBI), Ace (single), Noble (single, RBI, rs), and Mark Maroney (single, RBI) each contributed offensively.
N-N 12, Brushton-Moira 1: Winning pitcher Cody Smith (one hit allowed) and Tristan Harvey (two innings) hurled the one-hit win as Smith, Zeb Brown and Harvey led the N-N offense with two hits each. Harvey finished the game with three RBI. Jon Kennedy had a second inning single for B-M.
