The Salmon River and Massena Central varsity boys lacrosse teams pulled away to convincing wins at home in the two NAC matchups on Monday.

Salmon River 15, OFA 4: In Fort Covington, the Shamrocks built worked their way to an 8-4 halftime lead before generating seven unanswered goals in the second half en route to raising their unbeaten record to 6-0.

Skylar Thomas tallied seven goals and an assist while Kyle Lewis helped set up eight goals to lead a balanced Salmon River attack. Kason Tarbell chipped in three goals followed by Karonhiate Lazore with two while Braiden Sunday, Trenton Tarbell and Lakota Square each netted singletons.

For OFA (1-4), Austin Putman, Andrew Roddy, Nick Perrigo and Nate Peo broke through for solo goals.

Taz Oakes and Kobi Johnson turned aside five shots apiece sharing crease duties in the win. Spencer Lawrence logged nine saves in the losing cause.

The Shamrocks return to action next Monday when they travel to Brasher Falls to take on St. Lawrence Central starting at 4:30 p.m.

Massena 12, Colton-Pierrepont 5: At Mike Nicholas Field, the Raiders steadily pulled away from a 3-2 first-quarter lead before sealing the win with three unanswered goals in the final quarter as they evened their mid-season record to 3-3.

Sako Rourke netted four goals and helped set up four others to anchor the Raider effort. Grayson Phillips finished with three goals and four assists while Nick Henrie (2 assists), Rhoades Tarbell (1 assist), Tyler Simms, Dalton Mullin and Ross Driscoll all contributed solo goals and Jordy Mitchell logged a solo assist.

Gyle Dominy and Noah Whalen struck for two goals apiece in the losing cause. Scott Boyce tallied the other goal while Andrew Holden recorded an assist.

Troi Benedict made eight saves backstopping the win while Craig Miller blocked 23 shots for the Colts (0-7, 0-6).

Massena is slated to play at Saranac Lake this afternoon while C-P plays host to Canton in Colton. Both games face-off at 4:30 p.m.
