An evidence-tampering case in Ogdensburg City Court on Tuesday will go to a St. Lawrence County grand jury.

Mitchell W. LaRose, 25, of 108 Albany Ave., Ogdensburg, was charged in September with tampering with physical evidence. Court documents stated that he flushed a marijuana plant down his toilet after police saw it in a window when answering a call at his home for suspicion of growing marijuana.

In another case before the court involving Mr. LaRose, he agreed to plead guilty to petit larceny for taking two metal radiators from outside a garage at 223 Barre St. in November.

Judge William R. Small fined Mr. LaRose $100. The radiators were recovered.

Mr. LaRose was represented by the St. Lawrence Conflict Public Defender’s Office.
