OGDENSBURG - Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center has bought a neighboring property for $240,000 for unspecified expansion purposes.

The hospital’s acquisition is Farrand’s Flowers, located at 118 King St., across Ford Avenue from the hospital, which is located at 214 King St.

Farrand’s is relocating to a 3,000-square-foot storefront building at 1021 Paterson St.

“Any time there is property that becomes available in the vicinity, we try to acquire it,” said Laura Shea, the hospital’s

director of Community Relations and Planning.

There are no immediate or confirmed plans for the property.
