William Smith womens lacrosse freshman and former Immaculate Heart Central standout Hannah Connolly was named Liberty League rookie of the week.
Connolly amassed seven points in two games over the weekend as she had a goal and an assist in a 9-8 loss against St. Lawrence on Friday and then scored four goals in a 17-6 win over Clarkson on Saturday. SLU junior midfielder Parker Benedict earned Liberty League womens lacrosse defensive player of the week. Clarksons Alyssa Cristaldi and SLUs Brigid Hurley were also named to the league honor roll.
SLU freshman Jeremy Vautour was selected Liberty League mens lacrosse rookie of the week for a fourth straight week after notching a hat trick against Clarkson last Wednesday. The Saints Jack Nuland also made the league honor roll.
SLU sophomore Scott Smolensky garnered Liberty League mens track performer of the week after winning 1,500-meter run at Roberts Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday. SLU freshman and former Ogdensburg Free Academy athlete Nick Crawford earned his second straight rookie of the week award after winning the 400 hurdles and anchoring the victorious relay team. SLUs Elizabeth Edwards made the honor roll in womens track.
SLU freshman Claire ONeill tied for the second lowest round in program history with a winning 74 at the individual championships at Vassar to get Liberty League womens golfer of the week.
