ROCESTER - St. Lawrence University’s men’s outdoor track and field team had four individual championships at the non-scoring Roberts Wesleyan Invitational in Rochester on Saturday in a solid showing prior to next weekend’s Liberty League Championships.

Rookies Harrison Sloan and Ogdensburg’s Nick Crawford were joined by Scott Smolensky and Steve Petramale as event champions for the Saints on Saturday.

Sloan won the 800 in 1:58.91 while Crawford won the 400 hurdles in 57.32 and fellow Ogdensburg Free Academy graduate Jake Fredericks was second in 57.70. Smolensky won the 1500 in 4:06.14 while Petramale won the 5000 in 15:53.04 with Trevor Bibb finishing second.

The Saint 4x100 relay of Omaru Kabia, Shawn Lillie, Crawford and Fredericks was second in 44.13 while a second Saint team of Alimamy Kabia, Jamal Samaroo, Adrian Wilson and another OFA product Andy Fisher was third. Fredericks also took fourth in the 110 hurdles in 15.40.

St. Lawrence University’s women’s track and field team had three individual champions and a relay win as it tuned up for the upcoming Liberty League Track and Field Championships.

Sophomores Divya Biswal and Carly Stine were joined by graduate student Elizabeth Edwards in the winners circle for the Saints.

Biswal won the 100 hurdles in 16.27 seconds while Stine won the 400 meters in 1:00.06 and Edwards led a sweep of the top three places in the 5000 by the Saints, winning in 17:39.75.

Kinsey was joined by Samantha Yee, Sydney Bell and Anna Pond on the winning 4x100 relay team which ran 51.24.
