A Brownville man was charged Monday night by Jefferson County sheriffs deputies with driving while intoxicated, refusing to take a breath test, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree criminal contempt following an alleged domestic dispute.
Deputies said Jefferson A. Mahon, 40, of 105 St. Lawrence Ave., violated the terms of an order of protection when he showed up intoxicated at the residence of Lisa M. Mahon, 22650 Lewis St., Lot 19, town of Pamelia, to visit their two children about 8:50 p.m. Monday.
Deputies said that although Mr. Mahon initially refused to take a Breathalyzer test, they later determined his blood alcohol content was 0.13 percent.
A BAC level of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law.
Mr. Mahon was arraigned in Brownville Town Court and sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Watertown, on $1,000 bail.
Also cited with DWI and related offenses:
■ Jason A. Collins, 34, Dexter, was charged by Jefferson County sheriffs deputies with at 2:41 a.m. Monday on County Route 202, town of Watertown.
He refused to take a Breathalyzer test, deputies said.
Mr. Collins also was ticketed with having an inadequate muffler.
■ Robert J. Wehr, 21, of 12870 Route 3, Sackets Harbor, was charged by Watertown police at 1:40 a.m. Sunday on the 600 block of Coffeen Street. His BAC was 0.12 percent, police said.
■ Allan R. Bellinger, 65, of 115 E. Lynde St., Watertown, was charged at 11:48 p.m. Sunday on Route 37, town of Pamelia. His BAC was 0.15 percent, troopers said.
He also was charged with resisting arrest and second-degree harassment after he allegedly fought with troopers, who also gave him traffic tickets for failure to keep right, making an unsafe lane change and driving on the shoulder of the road.
■ Robert J. Casper, 54, Auburn, was charged by Jefferson County sheriffs deputies at 8:46 p.m. Saturday on Route 11 in the town of LeRay.
His BAC was 0.13 percent, deputies said. He also was ticketed with failure to keep right.
Charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs:
■ Allan G. Howard, 52, of 217 S. Pleasant St., was charged at 12:24 a.m. Wednesday by Watertown police.
It was determined that Mr. Howard had taken a depressant after a drug evaluation, police said.
