STOCKHOLM — A one-car crash early Saturday on county Route 47 left two men hospitalized.

The crash occurred about 2 a.m. when Frank J. Kaiser, 36, of 5508 Route 56, Lot 13, Potsdam, lost control of the 2003 Dodge Caravan he was driving near Knapps Station, according to the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office. After leaving the right side of the road, deputies said, he overcorrected and went off the left side of the road, hitting a tree and overturning.

Mr. Kaiser and passenger Ray L. Bush, 34, 52 West High St., Norfolk, were taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital, where Mr. Bush was admitted for facial injuries. Mr. Kaiser was transferred to Burlington, Vt., for treatment of fractured vertebrae.

An investigation was continuing, and no charges had been filed.

State Police, the West Stockholm Fire Department and the Norfolk Fire Department also responded.
