Watertown native and Syracuse attorney Martin J. Rothschild pleaded guilty Thursday in Onondaga County Court to a charge that he possessed child pornography, according to the news website syracuse.com.

Mr. Rothschild, 59, faces three years in state prison after admitting to one instance of possession of child pornography involving a child under the age of 17, although Onondaga County’s district attorney said that at least 30 videos were confiscated from computers at his Manlius home and East Syracuse law office, the report said.

Mr. Rothschild, a 1971 graduate of Watertown High School, will also be forced to give up his personal injury law practice and register with the state as a sex offender upon his release from prison.

He was ordered held on $100,000 bail after entering his plea.
