■ The Evans Mills Cemetery Association’s annual meeting, open to cemetery lot owners, will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the village fire hall, 8615 LeRay St.

n MARTINSBURG — The annual meeting of the Martinsburg Cemetery Association’s trustees and lot owners will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday at the town office, 5405 Cemetery Road.

n WEST CARTHAGE — The Champion Town Council named a new road in a Great Bend subdivision Monday. The road in the Taylor-Park subdivision off Stewart Drive will be called Partlow Drive for Howard Webster Partlow III, a former town councilman.

n National Public Radio announced Friday that it will end its 21-year-old call-in radio show “Talk of the Nation” and is encouraging radio stations to replace it with an expanded version of “Here and Now,” an afternoon newscast that will broadcast longer shows starting July 1.
