CHAUMONT — Brandy L. Fields, 44, Watertown, was charged by state police Saturday with fourth-degree grand larceny and three counts of second-degree forgery.

Ms. Fields is accused of forging signatures on three checks, totaling $1,300, belonging to Dale Goutremout in the town of Lyme.

She is to answer the charges in Lyme Town Court.

A complaint in the matter was lodged with police March 18.
