CAPE VINCENT — Stacey D. Surgick, 43, Albany, was charged at 4:22 p.m. Sunday by state police with first-degree promoting prison contraband, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, fourth-degree criminal possession of a narcotic drug and unlawful possession of marijuana following an incident at Cape Vincent Correctional Facility.

State police said that during Ms. Surgick’s prison visit Sunday, corrections officers found three oxycodone tablets in her pocket and a condom with three alprazolam and four buprenorphine pills secreted in her body. They also subsequently found 25 grams of marijuana in her vehicle.

She was arraigned in LeRay Town Court and sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Watertown, on $20,000 bail.
