STOCKHOLM A Parishville man faces animal-cruelty and drug charges following investigation into allegations that he didnt properly care for his dog, St. Lawrence County sheriffs deputies said Friday.
Kevin D. Campbell, 33, allegedly failed to provide adequate food, water and shelter for the animal over a three-day period.
Following his arrest, Mr. Campbell was found to be in possession of five Adderall pills, deputies said. The drug is a narcotic stimulant often prescribed for attention deficit disorder.
Mr. Campbell was charged with animal cruelty, a class A misdemeanor, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor.
He was arraigned separately on the charges in Parishville Town Court and Stockholm Town Court, and sent to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, in lieu of a combined $1,500 bail or $2,000 bond. Further charges are pending, deputies said.
