■ EVANS MILLS — The village will close its offices today and Friday for a conference and reopen April 1 with regular business hours.

■ LOWVILLE — As a precursor to Kick Butts Day, which was Wednesday, Reality Check youth volunteers collected 1,655 littered cigarette butts from various establishments throughout Lewis County. Kick Butts Day provides a chance for youths to rally their peers to avoid tobacco products.
