BUFFALO - The Ogdensburg Squirt hockey team concluded a successful 2013 season by winning the Squirt Division of the Pepsi Hockey Invitational in Buffalo on March 8-10.
The Squirts competed against teams from Innisfil Ont. and Canandaigua and Monroe County Youth Hockey in a highly contested competition for the coveted Pepsi banner that is now proudly on display at the Lockwood arena.
The offensive drive was led by Timmy McLellan, Drew Mills, Harrison Wert, Mason Morley, Holden Woods, Kaleb Spears, Karson LaRose, Rodger Premo, Gerard Powers, and Kennedy Sloan.
The defensive unit providing outstanding support to goaltender Kelson Hooper, was: Nolan ODonnell, Nick Demers, Rosie Jeneault, Mark Barr, Derek Barr, and Keighan Sias.
Paul ODonnell and Ernie Jeneault coached the team throughout their quest for the tournament championship banner. The team traveled with their families to Niagara Falls and reflected on their exceptional season as the Runners-Up of the Shiver on the River Tournament and as Champions of the Hazen, TriTown and Pepsi tournaments
