St. Lawrence University pitcher Joe Riley was named Liberty League pitcher of the week for the week ending Sunday.
Riley, a junior, went 2-0 during the Saints Florida road trip and did not allow a run in 13 1/3 innings as opponents managed a .156 batting average against him. SLU junior Khifer OConnor earned a spot on the league honor roll.
Clarkson junior goalie Kara DiNatale posted a pair of wins and a .556 save percentage to garner Liberty League womens lacrosse defensive player of the week honors. DiNatale only allowed two goals in a 13-3 rout of Keuka on Sunday. Clarkson freshman and former Immaculate Heart Central standout Christine Wright was named Liberty League rookie of the week. She scored seven goals and had four assists for the Golden Knights and had the game-winner in 12-11 triple-overtime victory over Utica on Friday. St. Lawrence attackman Brigid Hurley was on the Liberty League honor roll.
