Honored: Katherine Ulmen-Smith, Watertown, was the Jefferson Community College Honors Program student for the week ending March 1.

Ms. Ulmen-Smith is a 2011 graduate of Watertown High School. She is majoring in humanities and social sciences at JCC and plans to transfer to SUNY Potsdam to major in secondary education to become a history teacher. Ms. Ulmen-Smith’s honors option project was on the Salem Witch Trials of 1692.
