Gary S. Dusharm, 42, of 232 W. Main St., Apt. 53, was arrested by Watertown police at 7:15 p.m. Saturday at 19226 Route 11 on charges of third-degree aggravated assault and aggravated criminal contempt.
He is accused of striking Christine S. Sinclair, 194 Cedar St., in the head with a closed fist during a domestic incident at her home March 10, causing swelling and discoloration to her eyes. He also is accused of head-butting her and hitting her in the face with a closed fist, causing physical injury, in violation of an order of protection issued by City Court.
He also was charged with second-degree criminal trespass in an incident Tuesday in which he is accused of entering Ms. Sinclairs home without her permission and standing over her in her bedroom while she was lying in bed.
He was taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, where he was held on $20,000 bail or $40,000 bondpending arraignment in Watertown City Court on Sunday.
