POTSDAM Matthew Gold and Matt McCabe each scored three goals to lead the Clarkson University mens lacrosse team to a 9-3 win over SUNY Geneseo in a nonconference game Saturday.
Peter Goss added two goals for the Golden Knights (4-1 overall). Brendon Shearin scored Clarksons other goal and Corey Herrington provided three assists.
Sam Thompson led SUNY Geneseo (2-2) with two goals, and Jordan Briceland also scored.
SUNY POTSDAM 14, HARTWICK 5
Derek Frost scored three goals and added two assists to lead the Bears (2-1) past Hartwick in a nonconference game in Oneonta.
Rob Kunz, Jeff Seager, Kyle Nicholas and Pat Mahar each added two goals for SUNY Potsdam. Robbie Ashlaw, Ryan McConnell and Pat Bonafede also scored for the Bears.
Harry Hughes led Hartwick (3-2) with four goals. Cody Ciolino added a goal and an assist.
SUNY CANTON 9, REGIS 7
Four goals from Chris Gamble helped the Kangaroos (1-2) knock off Regis in a nonconference game in Weston, Mass.
Jason Thompson scored two goals for SUNY Canton. Patrick Connelly, Rob Gleason and Steve Novak also scored.
Billy Stewart, Chris Campbell and Matt Vogan each scored twice for Regis (2-3).
WOMENS LACROSSE
KEUKA 12, SUNY CANTON 7
Taylor Smith scored five goals as Keuka College (1-0) won a nonconference game in Canton.
Maggie Bonafede added three goals and two assists and Jennifer Burt scored twice for the Warriors.
Tressa Goolden provided three goals for SUNY Canton (0-2). Keeley Rice, Devyn Hutcheson, Brittani Bessette and Megan Poupore also scored for the Kangaroos.
BASEBALL
ST. LAWRENCE 9, MONMOUTH 7
Paul Piatelli went 3-for-4 and drove in two runs as the Saints (5-3) won a nonconference game in Fort Myers, Fla.
Bryan Palermo, Carter Franz, Khifer OConnor, Jeff Kott and Chris Fernandez each added two hits for SLU.
Matt Glenn and Jordan Gaither both went 3-for-5 to lead Monmouth.
PENN STATE ALLEGHENY 9-7, SUNY CANTON 5-4
Mike Visloski had two hits in the opener and Alente Johnso had two hits in game two as Penn State Allegheny swept a nonconference doubleheader in Butler, Pa.
Tom Darling had four hits in the opener and two in game two for SUNY Canton (1-9).
JEFFERSON CC 11-3, HAGERSTOWN CC 2-4
Nick Espino, Louie Diaz and Tyler Decker each had three hits as the Cannoneers pounded out 15 hits to take game one to split a doubleheader with the Hawks in Hagerstown, Md.
Josh Amann tossed a complete-game four-hitter for Jefferson Community College (2-7).
Drew DeShong drew a go-ahead, bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the sixth inning for Hagerstown CC (13-6) to earn the split in the nightcap.

SUNY CANTON 19, PENN STATE ALLEGHENY 2
Andrea Rogers went 3-for-3 and drove in three runs to lead the Kangaroos (2-10) to a nonconference victory in Butler, Pa.
Nicole Mulieri, Amanda Bitting and winning pitcher Tina DeLuca each added two hits for SUNY Canton.
