CANTON — St. Lawrence County could save about $400,000 through a new pricing mechanism with ProAct, a division of Kinney Drugs that provides the county’s prescription drug plan.

The schedule could be in place by June, consultant Martin J. Cahill, Locey & Cahill, Syracuse, recently told county legislators.

The potential savings represent about 10 percent of the county’s prescription costs annually, Mr. Cahill said.
