MASSENA - Christopher H. Pettit, 24, of 419 Rooseveltown Road, Apt. #15, Hogansburg, was charged with false personation and criminal contempt by state police at 4:35 p.m. Friday.

Mr. Pettit was a passenger in a car driven by his girlfriend when they were stopped on Route 37B because he was not wearing a seatbelt.

He allegedly gave a false name to the trooper, and the trooper discovered that his girlfriend had an order of protection against him.

He posted $100 cash bail and is scheduled to appear in Massena Town Court.
