This morning, I looked at my wall calendar and saw that the day was Presidents Day. I was surprised. I wondered who it could be. In my 87 years on earth, I thought Washington and Lincoln were born in this month.
It got me to thinking. Is our nation under God? Would God let us kill several million babies. Children are a heritage of the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is his reward, Psalm 127:3.
This was brought to my attention when our country doesnt want our children to pray in school, and our athletes cant pray before their games or wear clothing with religious words on them. In this book of Psalms, chapter 9:17, The wicked shall be turned into hell and all the nations forget God.
Our local paper seems to be overrun nearly every day with people driving while being drunk. I personally dont think this is wise. The Bible says wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise, Proverbs 20:1.
Several of our states are approving same-sex marriages. What would our Lord say? Back in the early stages of our world the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah by brimstone and fire; Genesis 19.
I believe that we are getting away from what our own people should be doing, working and not relying on our government.
I started working at 16 years old back in 1941. I went into the Navy in 1942. I was injured in July 1944 heading for France.
I was 75 and was shoveling roofs at Fort Drum.
I really dont think that work will hurt anyone.
