Francis John Bonczar, age 85, of Allen, Texas, formerly of Massena, New York, passed away March 1, 2013, in Allen. Francis was born March 9, 1927, in Sylmar, California, to Andrew and Mary (LaGoy) Bonczar. He married Mary McGrath on March 31, 1951, in Norwood, New York. Francis was employed with Alcoa as a machine operator from 1950 until his retirement in 1986. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1944 – 1946. Francis was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen.

He is survived by his wife, Mary of Allen, Texas; sons, Michael and wife, Iris of Hickory, North Carolina, James and wife, Sarah of Conover, North Carolina, and Timothy and wife, Cathey of Lucas, Texas; daughters, Linda Fenton and husband, Philip of Massena, New York, Judy Wells and husband, David, also of Massena, and Salena Bonczar and husband, Matt Schuman of Princeton, Texas; grandchildren, Lisa, Cindy, Stacey, Kristy, Tamra, and Alysia; and great-grandchilren, Grace, Grant, and Caleb.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Walter, sisters, Lucille Przewlocki and Elizabeth Bonczar, and infant son, Robert Joseph.

A memorial mass will be held in the chapel in St. Jude Catholic Church, 1515 N. Greenville Ave., Allen, TX, 75002, on Thursday, March 7, 2013, at 11:00 a.m.
