LOWVILLE A Lowville man on Sunday was accused of initiating an altercation with another man and his nine-months-pregnant girlfriend.
Jeremy E. Boliver, 35, of 7574 S. State St., was charged by Lowville police with second-degree criminal trespass, third-degree assault, second-degree harassment, endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree criminal mischief, answerable in Village Court.
Mr. Boliver was accused of breaking into an upstairs apartment on Feb. 26, believing the occupants had property belonging to him, and of refusing to leave. He then got into an argument with the 35-year-old resident and his 25-year-old pregnant girlfriend, whom police did not name, with the woman trying to push him out the door and Mr. Boliver ultimately shoving the other man down the stairs, police allege.
The alleged victim later went to the Lewis County General Hospital emergency room for treatment of a back injury, police said.
