The SAFE Act, called the common-sense law, was contrived at night in a clandestine manner by Gov. Andrew Cuomo and his legislators. This is not a common-sense law, and it will only take the guns out of honest people’s hands.

The laws of today are weak in substance, because they are made by bleeding hearts. There are no teeth to discourage the criminal elements. Our prisons are country clubs. Three meals a day, a place to sleep, conjugal visits, medical bills paid for by you, the taxpayer, and the list goes on.

Gov. Cuomo has become autocratic and more in tune with self-aggrandizement. His intent is to use the state of New York as his springboard for the presidency.

The gun law signed by Gov. Cuomo was thrown together in a surreptitious and capricious manner by the legislators. When one gun is banned and allowed to stand, the Second Amendment will become mute through attrition of all guns.

To repeal an amendment, it must first be passed by the two houses of Congress. Then it must be ratified by three-fourths of the states. Our governor and president are trying to come through the back door to eliminate your rights under the Second Amendment.
