CANTON — The St. Lawrence University’s women’s basketball team will meet regional host Tufts University in the opener of the NCAA Division III Tournament on Friday.

Pairings and dates were announced Monday, after the Saints advanced to the tournament by winning the Liberty League championship on Saturday.

The Saints (19-8) will travel to Medford, Mass., to face Tufts (23-3) at 8 p.m. at Cousens Gymnasium.

The Jumbos earned an at-large bid after being knocked off as top seed in the NESCAC quarterfinals, 60-54, by eighth-seeded Bowdoin.

Babson (23-2) will play SUNY New Paltz (24-3) in the regional’s other matchup.
