CANTON Kelly Legg of St. Lawrence University has been chosen as the Liberty Leagues womens basketball performer of the week.
The junior forward was named the Liberty League Tournaments Most Valuable Player after scoring a team-high 18 points in the Saints 51-48 championship game victory over William Smith on Saturday. She also added 12 points in the teams 58-44 semifinal win over Skidmore on Wednesday.
In addition, teammate Allison Cady was named to the leagues performer-of-the-week honor roll.
■ St. Lawrence freshman Amr Khalifa has been honored as the Liberty Leagues rookie of the week in mens squash.
Khalifa went 3-0 at the CSA national championships in New Haven Conn., leading the Saints to the programs best finish sixth place in the country.
