LAKELAND, Fla. — The Gwynedd-Mercy baseball team earned its third straight victory as it held off SUNY Canton for a 9-5 win in the Central Florida Invitational on Sunday.

Former Indian River standout Jordan Hunneyman went 3-for-4 with two runs for SUNY Canton (0-3), and Tom Darling and Eddy Morel each drove in a pair of runs.

SUNY Canton takes on SUNY Farmingdale today in Lakeland, Fla. at 2.

n SUNY Canton softball dropped its season-opener to Michigan-Dearborn, 17-7. The Roos’ other game against RIT was rained out.
