DAYTON, Ohio — The Dayton Demonz used three second-period goals to beat the Thousand Islands Privateers, 5-2, in a Federal Hockey League game at the Hara Arena on Saturday night.

Nicholas Petriello, Chris Leveille and former Privateer Terry Watt scored in the second for Dayton (41-9), while Tony Tabisz made 35 saves for the Demonz. Ex-Privateer Brian Marks added a power-play goal in the third to cap the scoring.

Peter Campbell notched his team-high 33rd goal to give Thousand Islands (22-28) a 2-1 lead before Dayton scored four unanswered goals.

Matt Maglione also scored, while Bryan Kalczynski turned aside 32 shots in his Privateers debut.

Thousand Islands holds the third seed in the upcoming FHL playoffs by a point over Danville, which plays host to the Privateers today at 2:35. The Privateers return home for a pair of games against Danbury on Friday and Saturday.
