HARRISVILLE Kenneth Kenny Rose, 61, of Route 3 Harrisville, passed Monday, Feb. 11, in Tennessee.
Born Sept. 6, 1951, in Carthage, son of John W. and Betty Remore Rose, he attended Carthage and La Fargeville schools.
Ken worked as a Civilian Employee at Fort Drum for several years, until 2002, when he retired for health reasons.
He married Marshia S. LaVancha of Harrisville on Jan 16, 1971. Marshia died August 25, 2002.
Ken enjoyed NASCAR, Ice Fishing, Camping, Hunting, and long rides through the woods. He also loved spending time with his family and was a member of the Mason Jar Hunting Camp for many years.
Among his survivors are two sons, Kenny and wife Kelly of Black River, Pete and wife Rikki of Rodman; a daughter, Marci of Harrisville; 7 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Cheyenne, Jesse, Dylan, Nathan, Caitlin, and Emily; four brothers, Daniel, Larry, Albert, and Kevin; and several nieces and nephews.
Ken is predeceased by his wife, Marshia; parents, John and Betty; and two brothers, Clarence and David.
Spring graveside services and burial will be held in Pitcarin.
