Ogdensburg Free Academy’s six Section 10 Division II Wrestling Champions will begin state championship action today at the Times Union Center in Albany.

The state championships will conclude on Saturday night.

99: Eighth grader Tanner LaPiene will face Locust Valley sophomore Bryan Coll of Section 8.

106: Seventh grader Brody Sheppard will open with junior Luis Weierbach of Hoosick Falls of Section 2.

126: Junior Josh Wangler will face fellow North Country wrestler in junior Ryan Snow of Section 3’s General Brown.

160: Junior Cody-Allen David will face another General Brown Section 3 champion in junior Tyler Silverthron.

170: Senior Andrew Cole will square off with senior Mike Green of Cobleskill-Richmondville of Section 2.

182: Junior Alex Cole will meet senior Austin Lynn of Section 6’s Frewsburg.

285: Senior Nate Sarkin will face junior Troy Grant of Section 9’s New Paltz.
