MASSENA — A Malone man is accused of sending harassing messages to an unidentified victim in St. Lawrence County, state police said Thursday morning.

Eugene E. Lamb, 46, was arrested at 12:10 a.m. Thursday at 20 Webster St., Malone, in connection with an incident reported at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the village of Massena.

Troopers said Mr. Lamb made harassing telephone calls and sent harassing text messages. The nature of those messages, as well as information about the victim, was not available Thursday as the case remained under investigation, troopers said.

Mr. Lamb was charged with one count of second-degree aggravated harassment, a class A misdemeanor. He was released to an unidentified third party pending further proceedings.
