A Rainbow clothing store opened Feb. 13 at the Price Chopper Plaza off Arsenal Street, moving into the space previously occupied by Fashion Bug.
The franchise store sells trendy womens clothing ranging from junior to plus sizes, including shoes and accessories such as jewelry, purses, hats, scarfs and umbrellas. The store has hired three full-time and five part-time employees and is seeking to hire up to four more as soon as possible, manager Michelle A. Eisloeffel said. Applications are available at the store.
Headquartered in Brooklyn, Rainbow was launched in 1935 and now has more than 1,000 stores in the U.S., Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Military discounts are offered at the store.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
