SLU’s 1,600 relay team takes league honors

The St. Lawrence University women’s 1,600 relay team of Carly Stine, Marissa Turner, Hannah Kinsey and Jess Marini earned the Liberty League indoor track performer of the week award.

The group broke a 16-year-old Saints’ record with a time of 4:00.50 at the Denault Invitational at Cornell. Divya Biswal of SLU was named field performer of the week for the second week in a row after breaking a school record in the triple jump and the Saints’ Ella Martin was named rookie of the week after breaking Wendy Pavlus’s record in the 3,000 meters.

St. Lawrence’s Spencer Patterson earned rookie of the week honors in men’s indoor track after winning the mile. A.J. Blaisdell of SLU was named to the honor roll.

The Clarkson men’s and women’s basketball teams swept rookie of the week honors, with Felix Abongo and Ashley Loggins receiving honors. Clarkson’s John Coleman was named to the honor roll in men’s basketball.
