Tim McCreadie settled for an eighth-place finish Sunday night in the inaugural 75-lap Super Showdown at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Fla.
McCreadie nearly went a lap down early in the race, but managed to battle his way back. The Watertown native collected $2,450 for his race team.
Tim Fuller of Watertown had trouble early in the night and started 24th, but finished 10th and his race team collected $2,100.
Josh Richards of Shinnston, W. Va., won the race and collected $20,560. The win placed Richards first in the points chase, 22 points ahead of Shane Clanton. McCreadie is in seventh place in the points, while Fuller is eighth.
The World of Outlaws late-model tour series resumes Thursday night with three nights of racing at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Fla.
