Mr. and Mrs. Cosmo D. Amedeo Jr., 17747 Route 11 South, celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary with a weekend getaway to Hyde Park.

Mr. Amedeo, son of the late Cosmo D. Sr. and Rose Marie Amedeo, and Donna M. Netto, daughter of the late Francis M. and Leona Netto, were married on Feb. 15, 1958, at St. Patrick’s Church with the Rev. John M. Wyzykowski officiating. Honor attendants were Beverly DeMar, Watertown, and the late Francis R. DeMar.

Mr. Amedeo retired from the state Department of Transportation. He is a member of the Italian American Civic Association and Mount Carmel Society of St. Anthony’s Church.

Mrs. Amedeo is a homemaker. She is a member of the Italian American Civic Association Auxiliary and Altar and Rosary Society of St. Anthony’s Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Amedeo are graduates of Watertown High School. They are life members of the North Side Improvement League, members of the Elks Club and associate life members of the Marine Corps League. Mr. and Mrs. Amedeo enjoy traveling and spending time with family.

The couple has two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna L. and Jeff LaFave, North Carolina, and Michelle A. and Tom Robinson, Adams; two sons and daughter-in-law, Scott F. and Anne, Florida, and Chris S. and Jessica, Cortland; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
