Journalism definition writing characterized by a direct presentation of facts or description of events without an attempt at interpretation.
Presidential quote: One of the biggest factors is going to be how the media shape debates. If a Republican member of Congress is not punished on Fox News or by Rush Limbaugh for working with a Democrat on a bill of common interest, then youll see more of them doing it.
Seems even the president agrees news is biased. The president is tacitly saying that the other news outlets are all fair and that they shape debates fairly and if there was no Fox News, all would be well and his agenda items would all be moved forward. There must be someone who will be a ying to his yang. It seems, in his view (and sadly I agree) he has no opposing views for his policies except from Fox News.
We all should listen to some with an opposing view, but it is a pity, as there seems to be only one news outlet currently doing it. What happened to real journalism? When did it leave? Think of any major news story of the day (be honest) and ask yourself what side the media is on. There should not be any sides.
I think that in news stories, there should be equal reporting of all views of the argument. If you are truly objective in your thoughts about news bias, you must agree that currently there is only one view in most stories from most media outlets.
