GOUVERNEUR – Patricia P. Fairbanks, 86, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at E.J. Noble Hospital, Gouverneur.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 9th at 11:00 am at Trinity Episcopal Church, Gouverneur with Rev. Gregory Bailey officiating and burial in Riverside Cemetery, Gouverneur.

Patricia was born in Gouverneur on October 25, 1926, the daughter of George and Alice Premo Dillabaugh.

Patricia attended Gouverneur schools and married Douglas H. Fairbanks on June 1, 1947 at the Gouverneur United Methodist Church parsonage with Rev. Harold Thomas officiating. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, embroidery, and doing crossword puzzles.

She is survived by two sons Timothy Fairbanks and his companion Cathy Weber of Fowler, Terry and Lisa Fairbanks of Winslow, ME, two daughters Trudy and Gregory Bailey of Gouverneur, Tammy and Daniel Goodale of Gouverneur, 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren. Patricia is predeceased by her husband, her parents, a brother Robert Dillabaugh, and a sister Jeanne George.
