Watertown police say a man admitted that his car went over an embankment Wednesday night because he was inhaling vapors while driving.
Michael T. Mitchell, 25, of 8519 LeRay St., Evans Mills, had a 2-year-old boy riding with him when the accident occurred about 8:20 p.m. at Arsenal Street and Western Boulevard, according to police. The child was treated at the scene by Guilfoyle Ambulance personnel for a scraped chin, police said.
Mr. Mitchell inhaled vapors from Dust-Off, police said. He faces prosecution in City Court on charges of endangering the welfare of a child, second-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to keep right and inhaling toxic vapors.
