LOWVILLE Lewis County legislators have scheduled a pair of special committee meetings this afternoon.
A Buildings and Ground Committee meeting is set for 3 p.m. to continue discussions on an office building project.
An Economic Development Committee meeting will be held at 4 p.m. to discuss the trail coordinator position and any other business.
Both sessions will be held in the second-floor legislative chambers at the county office building, North State Street.
Legislators on Tuesday voted 10-0 to advertise for a new trail coordinator, but the committee plans to first review the job description and salary range.
Robert C. Diehl, who had been trail coordinator since its inception in 2006, was fired Friday by legislators on their determination of misconduct. He was accused of submitting to the county a purchase order and voucher for $3,262.97 worth of gravel that was delivered to his Martinsburg residence for his personal use.
