HARRISVILLE Jeremiah L. Markwick, 23, of 12992 N. Croghan Road, Natural Bridge, was jailed Tuesday on $3,000 bail after being charged by state police in a break-in in which a large quantity of scrap metal was stolen.
He is charged with third-degree burglary and was placed in Lewis County jail, Lowville, following arraignment in Denmark Town Court.
Police said he sold items that were stolen Friday at Williamson Services, 12988 N. Croghan Road, town of Diana, for about $170.
Mr. Markwick was convicted of third-degree criminal trespass in April 2009 in Jefferson County Court.
