ACCIDENT - MASSENA - State police investigated a number of accidents in the region on Monday:
■ Brittany M. Martin, 23, of Potsdam was involved in a one-vehicle injury accident at 8:29 a.m. on County Route 47, Stockholm.
■ Chad E. Swinyer, 36, of Lisbon was involved in a one-vehicle property damage accident at 7:30 p.m. on Buck Road in the town of Madrid.
■ Dylan C. Young, 24, of Gouverneur and James V. Testani, 54, of Heuvelton were involved in a two-vehicle property damage accident at 4:30 p.m. on Lisbon Street in the town of Oswegatchie.
■ Mary C. Hennessy, 80, of Massena and Sandra Ann Burnett, 62, of North Lawrence were involved in a two-vehicle property damage accident at 3:54 p.m. on Highland Road in the town of Massena.
PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - Canton-based state police charged Linda A. Mason,-Phillips, 20, of Brier Hill with petit larceny at 2:47 p.m. Monday following a shoplifting incident in the town of Potsdam. She was released on an appearance ticket.
OBSTRUCTING GOVERNMENTAL ADMINISTRATION - OGDENSBURG - Ogdensburg-based state police charged Tina M. Mahay, 37, of Hammond with second-degree obstructing governmental administration at 9:12 p.m. Monday in Ogdensburg. She was released on an appearance ticket.
CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - CANTON - Massena-based state police charged John K. French, 44, of Canton, with four-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, driving while intoxicated, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to keep right and imprudent speed at 3:01 p.m. Monday in Canton, stemming from an incident that occurred at 8:19 p.m. Jan. 21 in the town of Madrid.
