TURIN — A Lyons Falls woman was charged by state police Thursday with operating a snowmobile while intoxicated in connection with an accident early the morning of Jan. 26 along a trail in the town of Turin.

Nicole L. Hutchins, 27, of 6908 Laura St., is also charged with operation at an improper speed and driving an unregistered and uninsured snow right.

Police said her snowmobile went off a trail near Glenfield passed over a cliff. She was taken to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Utica, for treatment, and her passenger, Holly M. Gonyea, 26, address not available, was treated at Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville, for a leg injury.
