POTSDAM Brenda Ellen Remington and Matthew Alan Bailey, both of Sycamore, Ill., were married at 2 p.m. Aug. 18 at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Christopher Brown officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Phillip M. and Barbara E. Remington, Parishville. The groom is the son of Roger M. Bailey and Gloria E. Bailey, both of Parishville. The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Chantelle Derushia, Hopkinton, was matron of honor and Brittani Wickwire, Parishville, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Stephanie Hawkins, Parishville, and Melissa McKenzie, Oswego, Ill. Paityn Remington, Colton, was her aunts flower girl.
Aaron Hopkins, Orlando, Fla., was best man. Groomsmen were Mark Bailey, Potsdam, brother of the groom, Jeremy Snell, Whitesboro, and Daniel Maguire and Travis Perkins, both of Parishville. Masen Bailey, Potsdam, nephew of the groom, and Ashton Remington, Colton, nephew of the bride, were ring bearers.
A reception was held at Potsdam Town and Country Club. The couple took a wedding trip to Seattle, Wash.
Mrs. Bailey graduated in 2005 from Parishville-Hopkinton Central School, Parishville, in 2009 from SUNY Potsdam, with a bachelors degree in psychology, and in 2012 from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Ill., with a masters degree in clinical psychology. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in clinical psychology through Northern Illinois University. Mrs. Bailey is employed by Northern Illinois University.
Mr. Bailey graduated in 2003 from Parishville-Hopkinton Central School and in 2009 from Clarkson University, Potsdam, with a bachelors degree in civil engineering. He is employed by Watermark Engineering Resources, Aurora, Ill.
The couple resides in Sycamore.
