Cannoneers fall to TCCC in Mid-State game

DRYDEN — Devin Redden scored 18 points to lead Tompkins-Cortland Community College to a 72-60 Mid-State Athletic Conference men’s basketball win over Jefferson CC on Wednesday.

Tyseem Lyles added 17 points for TCCC, ranked second in Region 3.

Kenneth Thomas led JCC (5-14, 0-8) with 16 points and Damien Jackson had 15 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals.

■ Meghan Ideman made a 3-point play to put the Tompkins Cortland CC women’s basketball team up by four points in overtime, and the Panthers earned a 51-47 Mid-State Athletic Conference victory over Jefferson CC.

Ideman and Becca Holton Tomasdottir each finished with 12 points, and Nicole Goodwin added 10 points for Tompkins Cortland (6-12 overall, 4-4 MSAC).

Jasmine Canady scored a game-high 22 points, and Tapulei Vaveao added 13 points and 10 rebounds for Jefferson (9-12, 5-3).
