David G. Kio, 59, of Osceola, died Tuesday at Rome Memorial Hospital. Born in Auburn, he was a 20 year resident of Osceola previously living in the Oswego area. David was a member of Local 545 in Syracuse for the past 25 years. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. David was a member of Osceola Rod and Gun Club, the National Rifle Association and was a member of Osceola Town Board. He had received his U.S. Coast Guard Captains License. David was predeceased by his; parents, George and Margaret Kio; uncles, Jack Kio who died in 2012, and Howard Kio who died in 2001; also by several other uncles and aunts. Surviving: brother, Chip (Karen) Kio; nephew Paul Kio; niece, Nicole Kio all of Oswego. Calling hours are Friday 4 to 7 p.m. with 7 p.m. services to immediately follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. Spring burial will be at Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton.
