CANTON For Macreena A. Doyle, it will be a short move.
Ms. Doyle, who has worked in media relations at St. Lawrence University for almost 28 years, will leave her position as coordinator of news services to become the schools director of employee recruitment, training and affirmative action in the human resources office.
Ms. Doyle began working in media relations at St. Lawrence in 1985, coordinating the schools relationship with the news media and sending regular press releases touting the accomplishments of the universitys students, faculty and staff.
Before working at the college, Ms. Doyle was a reporter with the Journal in Ogdensburg, where she covered city government, economic development and business. Ms. Doyle serves on the board of Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center.
As St. Lawrence begins the search for a new public relations specialist, Ms. Doyles responsibilities will be divided between Thomas Evelyn, vice president for communications, and news writer Megan Bernier.
