An Ogdensburg man was arrested early Monday for third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
Joseph B. Johnson, 38, of 615 Ford St., Apt. B, was also charged by city police with unlawful imprisonment.
All three charges stemmed from an alleged domestic incident involving Mr. Johnson, Peggy J. Gilbo, 34, same address, and the couples 2-year-old son.
According to city court documents, Mr. Johnson pushed Miss Gilbo to the ground, held her and punched her. He also pushed his son to the ground, causing him to cry.
Mr. Johnson was arraigned in city court and released to the supervision of probation. He was told to abide by a no-harassment order of protection and is due back in court on Feb. 19. He has applied to the St. Lawrence County Public Defenders Office for legal representation.
